The latest Clippers free agency rumors look at the potential loss of J.J. Redick.

While there’s other concerns heading into free agency, the Los Angeles Clippers know all to well about things not going their way.

And when it rains for them, it pours.

With a chance to make some serious money, Redick’s asking price is in the neighborhood of $20 million. According to an article on Bleacher Report, the Clippers aren’t willing to make that available.

Per the report:

"Multiple NBA officials indicated to Turner that the Clips would not pay that price but may be willing to bring Redick back if the salary demand is lessened."

This comes on the heels of anticipating the team’s next moves in regard to Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Both free agents are bigger priorities to the Clippers, as the report goes on to point out.

"ESPN.com’s Ramona Shelburne reported in October that Clippers owner Steve Ballmer was willing to pay any price to keep both CP3 and Griffin in Lob City.Paul and Griffin have undeniable talent, but Los Angeles has yet to advance beyond the second round of the playoffs with them in the fold."

Whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers try to make themselves available to Redick is yet to be seen. If that doesn’t happen, Redick won’t be playing on either Los Angeles team next season.

Like Griffin and Paul, there will be suitors for the veteran shooter. He may not stay on a contender, but that doesn’t seem to bother him too much at this point.

Given how disappointing the last few years have been for Lob City, imagine what it’s been like for the players. Now is the chance for second tier guys like Redick to cash in on free agency.
