Chicago Bulls

Another option for Redick in free agency is landing in Chicago. Dwayne Wade had a homecoming this past season that ended in a surprising surge to the playoffs.

After going up 2-0 against the top-seeded Celtics, the Bulls lost four straight en route to elimination. Questions linger as to whether or not Wade will stay with the Bulls.

The veteran shooting guard could test the market and land on a more competitive team like the Cavaliers. A reunion between LeBron James and Wade isn’t out of the picture, but it would leave the Bulls hanging a bit.

Before making any other moves, Wade’s absence would put Denzel Valentine in the starting role. Averaging around five points per game, Valentine’s efficiency — or lack thereof — would give the Bulls reasons to seriously explore their options.

One of the things that could sway Redick to come to Chicago is that him being on the team makes them much more competitive than having Wade at the same spot. While Wade is an obvious fan favorite and a hometown player, Redick could be that missing piece they need to keep things together.

If not, Jimmy Butler could be on his way out as well.
