Memphis Grizzlies

A destination that would be a true challenge for Redick to play in, if that’s what he’s looking for, is Memphis. Previous starting shooting guard Tony Allen will be on the market and chased for his ability to play tough defense as well as the veteran characteristics he carries.

However, a major issue that Redick would face is not knowing how long the pieces they have would be around him. There’s room to believe that players could either be leaving soon or traded if a deal for a player becomes available.

The upside to the Grizzlies is that it’s a similar starting point for him to start next season. Sure, there’s a few uncertainties, but if he plays well there is a lot to work with.

Not to mention that this team is something much different in the playoffs compared to the regular season. They showed this even against the Spurs in the most recent postseason appearance.

Although the series ended in six games for them, the fact that they gave it everything they could and came close to a major upset speaks for itself.

But they’ll need a talented, veteran shooting guard if Tony Allen leaves town.
