Apparently, the Clippers obtaining their own D-League team as of the 2017-18 NBA season will be fact rather than fiction.

The Clippers will have their affiliate known as the Agua Caliente Clippers. They will play in Ontario.

The team will also focus more on rookie players that might as well have potential in the next season. If anything, they Clippers will have more leeway as they will recruit more players, especially younger ones.

More from LA Sports Hub

The best part out of the whole scenario is that players such as Brice Johnson and Diamond Stone have already been selected to be part of their affiliate.

For the next season, they will play all its 24 games at Citizen’s Business Bank Arena. This will enhance the team’s promising outlook as they will acquire the rookie players Johnson and Stone.

Now both have somewhat steady stats and reviews as rookies.

Although not as potent as Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers, Johnson averages 1.3 points and one rebound within three minutes while Stone averages 1.4 points and 0.9 rebounds within 3.4 minutes.

As little as it sounds, they will have the entire next season to prove themselves and the Clippers’ affiliate of their privileges of sticking with them. Hope it does not spoil their best interest keeping their current stakes high.
