In these 2017 NBA Draft Rumors the LA Clippers have a chance to be involved with the number one overall pick and the Boston Celtics. Boston has plenty of guards and need a physical big man.

Plenty of guards fill the 2017 NBA Draft and that is what the Celtics don’t need. The Clippers need guards, as they already have solid big men.
They need guards because just about their whole starting five are free agents this off-season.
This trade is still possible as long as its before free agency.
Boston should explore trading the number one overall pick to the LA Clippers before the off-season.
LA should trade one of their stars to receive the number one pick and some good bench players who can start.
Hence why both teams should make a deal with trading the pick. Additionally, the Clippers being involved in the trade would give them a draft pick and helps them be able to rebuild their team for the future.

For example, the Celtics should trade the number one overall pick for Blake Griffin. Los Angeles should take this deal. However, before finalizing the deal LA should revise the deal to help rebuild their franchise.
Los Angeles should ask for a little more than just the number one overall pick. Yes, Griffin was a former number one pick himself. Griffin will most likely help give Boston a boost get to the Finals in 2018.
Also, LA should see if they can receive Gerald Green and Kelly Olynyk along with the first pick. The Celtics should see if they can receive Marreese Speights along with Griffin.
Both teams will benefit from this trade tremendously. Boston will be able to reach the NBA Finals and the Clippers will advance past the first or second round.
LA would advance because Olynyk would give them versatile man and Green is a versatile guard who can shoot and plays defense. Also, then if needed LA could trade those players for draft picks and build their franchise for the future.
There were rumors about Blake Griffin going to Boston. Therefore why not trade him for the number one overall pick and maybe the 2018 first round pick the Celtics have from the Nets.
