Lakers rumors: The chances of trading each player on the roster

Timofey Mozgov
If Magic Johnson were in charge last summer, the chances of the team even considering Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng are probably slim to none.

Yet, here we are wondering what Los Angeles should do with two way overpaid not-so-great veterans. The obvious question with Mozgov, like Deng, is which team would really be brave enough to take down a monster contract.
The former Cavaliers center signed for four years and $64 million, with not a lot to show in his first year under that deal. Mozgov put up averages of 7.4 points and 4.9 rebounds. While not necessarily terrible numbers, they’re not the kind of stats you want from a guy you’re paying that much money too.
As a long term solution, Ivica Zubac is the center of the future for the purple and gold. Mozgov has questioned Zubac’s readiness for the starting position, but he’s not really in the right place to be talking.
If the Lakers can find the right suitor, expect this front office to send Mozgov packing the first chance they get.
