Larry Nance Jr.

There’s no question that Larry Nance Jr. has been a bargain for the Lakers. Signed for three years and just $3 million, he’ll enter the final year of his rookie deal. Coming from a not as popular college in Wyoming, Nance Jr. has been an energizer for this team, if nothing else.

He averaged 7.1 points and 5.9 rebounds for them this past season.

For Nance Jr. to remain a great part of the young core, there’s not much more convincing he needs to really do. What the team should think about is how they can reward him if he ends up being just as much of a factor this upcoming season.

Don’t break the bank on him, though.

Hopefully the current front office won’t make the mistake of overpaying anybody, but Nance Jr. has definitely earned himself a raise if his numbers stay the same.

Consistency is what he needs to focus on, as he could be a huge presence in a starting role or off the bench. For him, the ultimate x-factor is his openness to multiple roles.

We saw that with Jordan Clarkson, and his attitude paid off tremendously.

It’s too much good stuff to trade, especially right now.
