Closing Thoughts

With Ingram, the Lakers can have great success in the immediate future. Given their spot in the upcoming draft, what Los Angeles needs to do is ensure the right talent is around him.

Get the team a point guard who can facilitate, move D’Angelo Russell to shooting guard, and possibly explore trades with some of the other young guys.

Jordan Clarkson’s name has been in headlines recently as a player the team would be willing to shop for the right price. He fit well with Lou Williams off the bench last season, but now that Williams is gone it could be time for Clarkson to move as well.

Additionally, Los Angeles needs to keep in mind that the rebuild should almost be over. They’ve had more than one draft to change things up, and the wins need to start pouring in.

Lastly, it is of the essence that they keep Brandon Ingram. Trading him makes no sense in the future, and they need someone who will spend their career in Los Angeles.
