Los Angeles Clippers

There’s plenty of concern around Los Angeles that Chris Paul will leave the Clippers. If that’s the case, the team will need a new point guard.

While it would keep him in Los Angeles, the chances of him going to the Clippers are the least likely out of the three teams that will be mentioned. It’s not that it’d be a bad fit for Ennis, but rather that they’ll have their eyes elsewhere.

Guys like Patty Mills and other proven, valuable free agent point guards will be up for grabs. Los Angeles needs a culture change, and Ennis is the kind of guy to be in it, but not lead it.

One of the other things that they’ll miss without Paul is his ability to get to the open shot and drive extremely well. Unfortunately, basketball isn’t a one person sport. So despite Paul’s immaculate talent, nothing has ever come of it.

Ennis would likely be intrigued by the chance to stay in Los Angeles, but might want to explore other options himself if the Lakers don’t come calling.

Also, by taking Ennis, the Clippers all but concede that the Lakers are back to being the best team in the city of angels.
