San Antonio Spurs

Tony Parker’s playoff injury will keep him out until 2018. Patty Mills is a free agent this summer, and could decide to play elsewhere.

As a precautionary measure to that, expect Ennis to get some interest from San Antonio. Above all else, what coach Gregg Popovich has created with the Spurs is a winning culture that won’t go away.

Whether they win the championship or not, every season feels like a win for this team. They’re never not in the playoffs, and have been one of the most consistent teams in league history.

When it comes to performance, Ennis may experience his best season here.

He’s still young, and we know what Popovich is capable of when guys buy in to his mentality and approach to the game. It’s happened not just with Tony Parker, but Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli, and others.

So why not Ennis?

The only problem the Spurs could run into is if Ennis ends up playing like a bust next season. Maybe he just found a sweet spot in Los Angeles to ride out the end of the season and isn’t really as good as the hype is.

Even then, San Antonio would get a point guard they can include in a trade deal at some point in the season. Not to mention that he won’t be asking for an astronomical amount of money, so they’ll get that as a benefit as well.
