David Johnson (ARZ)

2016 Stats:

CAR: 293
RUSH YDS: 1,239
REC: 80
REC YDS: 879
TD: 20

2017 Outlook: David Johnson is the most productive as well as the most talented running back on this list, if not in the entire league. The Cardinals back was able to accrue over 2,000 yards from scrimmage despite a bad offensive line in 2016.

His combination of “Beastmode” like strength and incredible speed make him an amazing back who can punish opposing teams up the middle or around the edges. His incredible receiving ability makes him a huge threat in the passing game. He is the perfect example of a complete back in the NFL which makes him worthy of being the Cardinals featured back.

His biggest challenge this season will be his six games in the NFC West- all against teams who have built tremendous front sevens on defense. Fortunately for Johnson, the Cards boast a strong receiver corps to distract from the run game and taking pressure off of the weak offensive line.

Though his division matchups may be tough, his transcendent talent and ability makes him the best and most productive back to come out of the 2015 draft.
