Lakers Rumors – Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports /

If recent Lakers rumors come to fruition we may see Nick Young find a new home in the NBA. Which potential new home would be the best fit for Swaggy P?

Nick Young has become a fan favorite in his time with the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether it is his great shooting from behind the arc or his infectious personality, Young has become an icon in upon himself. While his play has regressed and fans may not appreciate that the popular consensus remains that Young is a favorable guy.

The Swaggy P movement really grew legs back in the 2013-14 season, which was Young’s first in purple and gold. Young had the best year of his career, posting 17.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Young became one of the best scoring options on the Lakers, and with his 38% three-point shot, it was hard not to love him.

As the years have transpired, however, Young has slowly declined. Due to several injuries and off the court distractions, Young’s production was taking a hit. As recently as 2015-16 Young was only averaging 7.3 points per game.

However, last season was a bounce back year. Young’s scoring was back to double digits, averaging 13.2 points per game, and his three-point percentage was up to 40.4%. The Swaggy P we all know and love was back.

Now, here we are in the offseason. Young has a player option in his contract that he can exercise, making him a free agent. With Brandon Ingram donned as untouchable, Young may not want to take a reduced role. We already looked at free agents that can replace Young, now, let’s take a look at the best potential new homes for Swaggy P.
