Closing Thoughts

Paul George definitely seems ready to be starting the next chapter of his career. Los Angeles wants him, he wants to be there, and it all seems like it’s already set in stone.

Between now and then, George could find himself on another team next season so that the Pacers get something in return for him. Letting him wait until free agency to bail would leave their franchise with nothing to show for it.

While picking a jersey is a minor part of the process, it’s a big deal when you play for the Lakers.

George has the kind of talent that could propel the young core of the Lakers in maturity, growth, and game. At full speed, this young core will be able to learn so much from a veteran like George it’s hard to put into words.

Although he doesn’t have a ring to show for it yet, it’s due in large part to the fact that LeBron James has been so dominant in the conference the Pacers are in. A team without LeBron on it hasn’t represented the Eastern Conference since 2010 when the Lakers and Celtics played in a seven game classic.
