Los Angeles Lakers

Let’s get the one everyone’s talking about out of the way.

If Los Angeles selects Lonzo Ball, he and his family will get their wish of staying local. Living in Chino Hills, Lonzo had made note of the fact that he wants to play where his whole family can come out and show support.

How LaVar’s support could change when his son hits the NBA will be worth watching.

The Lakers did their due diligence by reaching out to UCLA and their coaching staff to see if Ball’s father impacted the season in any way. If they’re convinced enough of the fact that his commentary won’t matter, Ball could be that guy that turns things around.

LaVar has said before that the Lakers would make the playoffs if they draft Lonzo.

As much as we don’t want to admit it, he might be right. They need a true point guard, which he is, and a distributor who can make the best players on the team get their shot.

This is even more important knowing that the Lakers could be playing with a guy like Paul George on their team as soon as this next season.

There’s a high chance of this happening, but anything can happen.
