The Los Angeles Clippers are taking a new path for their future. That new path is without Chris Paul, and according to these Clippers rumors, Blake Griffin could be out too.

Chris Paul is now a Houston Rocket. His tenure with the Clippers was good but left a lot of fans wanting more. Paul helped return the franchise back to the postseason, something they had only accomplished seven times in franchise history before his arrival. In fact, 46% of the Clippers postseason appearances have come with Paul on the team.

Yet, outside of the pat on the back a team gets for making it past the regular season, the Clippers did not do much. Los Angeles failed to make it past the second round in six consecutive postseason appearances, only making it out of the first round three of those times.

You would think that for a team that has constantly been the laughing stock of the NBA, this would be great. However, with the star power in Los Angeles, fans couldn’t help but feel disappointed. Paul is perhaps the best natural point guard of this time, and alongside the ferocious Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, the sky was the limit.

Now, with Paul gone, even more question marks have risen regarding the Clippers future. The Clippers effectively have two routes; they can either surround Blake Griffin with another star or enter full rebuild mode and look to the future.

With Blake Griffin hitting the free agent market, he may force LA’s hand into the latter. If Griffin does indeed decide to walk, here are four potential new homes for the ferocious power forward.
