His chemistry issues follow him to OKC

While he’s definitely one of the better players in the league, his ability to affect chemistry should’ve been a concern from the beginning. Sure, all the hype that he wants to play for the Lakers is great for the organization in terms of landing another star, but is it worth it?

By then, Brandon Ingram will be entering his third season in the league. At that point, we expect him to be a star of his own. Playing time will reflect that, and so will the stat sheet. Add to that the fact that Lonzo Ball will be coming off of what fans expect to be a tremendous rookie campaign.

One in which we could see the freshman lead the Lakers back to the promised land of the playoffs. If that happens, how is Ball supposed to adjust after finding his game so early in his career?

We have to remember that Paul George isn’t used to having stars around him. With Indiana, he was supposed to be everything in clutch moments. That’s why he got mad in the playoffs this past season when a teammate took a last second shot against the Cavs that he felt was his.

Knowing that he’ll demand playing time, what will that mean for up and comers like Julius Randle and Kyle Kuzma if Brandon Ingram’s minutes are not going to move? It just seems like a lot to gamble on if you’re initial gamble in the draft pays off.

George having to play and share the floor with Westbrook will be telling.
