Enough with the Lakers Rumors, let’s take things a little less serious and look at ridiculous trades that, financially, could actually take place in the NBA.

Being in the midst of the worst run in franchise history there is no surprise that there is an unprecedented amount of Lakers rumors currently clouding the Staples center.  Whether those rumors include going out and bringing in another superstar, or trading an established point guard to make cap room, these Lakers rumors are not slowing down anytime soon.

Because of this, a lot of fans have developed a false sense of security around their team. Many think that 2018 will be the year that the Lakers create their unbeatable powerhouse super team, a super team that can trump the Golden State Warriors. However, these same hopes are the same hopes present last offseason, and the offseason before, and so on.

Therefore, if we are going to commit ourselves to this fantasy booking that does nothing more but raises the expectations of the fanbase, let’s go all out on it. Let’s create the wackiest, most lobsided, most ridiculous trades that the Lakers could actually pull off; financially that is.

To conduct these trades, we are going to use the ever popular ESPN NBA Trade Machine. The trade machine allows users to perform any trade, up to four teams and informs the user whether or not it is possible.

Not only are we going to use the NBA Trade Machine to conduct these crazy machines, we are going to hop on NBA 2K17 and simulate a season with each team, projecting the results and whether or not the virtual Lakers can give the fans the super team they have been dying for.
