In addition to Kurt Warner and others, LaDanian Tomlinson has been enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Few positions are more pivotal to an NFL offense than that of running back. LaDanian Tomlinson took that thought and ran with it — literally.

While he didn’t play for the team during any amount of time in Los Angeles, Tomlinson didn’t let anything catch him by surprise in San Diego. In playing for the Jets and Chargers in his career, Tomlinson stacked up over 13,000 total yards. Out of those totals, just north of 3,000 of them came from the ground game.

He was the league MVP in 2006, and didn’t let that moment define his career. Ultimately playing out his time in the NFL without a ring, Tomlinson found a way to the Hall of Fame without one.

He’s no doubt one of the best running backs of all-time. The Chargers got the benefit of having him as a weapon for a long time, while New York got the latter part of his career.

Scoring 145 touchdowns in his career, Tomlinson showed multiple ways that he knew how to score. It was a crucial part of San Diego staying relevant and being able to make the runs that they did.

He only missed one game in his first even seasons as a Charger. Longevity and endurance helped him make plays last longer as well as explode through different holes on the line consistently.

Getting enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame was the final step of his in a very deserving career. There are few running backs who can say that they worked harder than LaDanian Tomlinson to bring back a fan base, a city, and a franchise in need of a star runner.
