SoCal dominates Hawaii for spot in LLWS Regional Championship
SoCal continues perfect run with explosive offensive push against Hawaii in the LLWS.
For a spot in the West Regional championship and a day of rest. Hawaii and SoCal battled it off to a game full of offensive explosion.
SoCal got the bats going early with five runs in the first two innings. Highlighted by Drew Rutter’s RBI double in the first and two-RBI double in the second for a 5-1 lead.
Hawaii would inch back into the game with two runs in the third and retake the lead with four in the fifth with a 7-6 lead.

SoCal would return the favor with a Bobby Gray two-run homer to deep left and continue the bleeding with four more runs to regain a 12-7 lead.
Joshua Ward would lead off Hawaii’s last three outs of the game with a bomb to center and continue their run of late comeback wins, but that wasn’t the case.
Tommy Wood would retire the next three batters and punch SoCal’s ticket to one win short of being the third straight California team to represent the West. Continuing the dominance that California has had in the West Regionals and Little League World Series.
Hawaii will have to gather themselves for Friday and go against a tough Utah team that beat Nevada and NorCal in the losing bracket.

Both teams will be looking to continue to play another day at Al Houghton Stadium and knock out the SoCal favorite on Saturday.
