Lakers Schedule: Three games worth watching early on
By Keith Rivas
11/3 vs Brooklyn
Back in Los Angeles two weeks into the season, the Lakers will host D’Angelo Russell and the Brooklyn Nets. It’ll be the first time we’ll see action between Russell and his former team after they traded him earlier in the summer.
The Russell versus Ball match up will give the Lakers chills and will also give us all a better idea of what the Lakers passed up and what they now have in store for them. If D’Angelo Russell goes on a monster revenge tour against Los Angeles, it would not be too surprising either.

It’s a game that could easily become an early gem, and one of the better early games of the entire NBA season. There’s been big hype when stars wind up on another team and then play their former squad the next season.
We’ve seen it recently with Kevin Durant and LeBron James, with it coming next season for both D’Angelo Russell and Paul George. If the young Lakers can handle D’Angelo Russell and tame him on both ends of the court, it’ll be the final nail in the coffin to the conversation about whether it was worth it to trade him or not.
However, if the Lakers get burned, and burned badly, it’ll make you start to wonder about what-if scenarios. Magic Johnson talked a lot about D’Angelo Russell’s lack of leadership ability as well, even after the trade, so this game let’s us see if they walk the walk instead of just talk the talk.
