Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma turning out to have a good return for the organization.
According to Lakers nation, the 2017 rookie class believe a rookie Laker Kyle Kuzma is a gigantic steal of the draft.
Kyle Kuzma is a wise player investment by the Lakers. Yes, he has had injuries while in college, however, he has overcome them. Kuzma impressed everyone during the summer league. Lonzo Ball and Kuzma showed chemistry together.
Kuzma still has to earn his role of a starter or even the rotation. He is an all around player, which means he has the skills and attributes of every position.
You know he is a good player when fellow rookies say they believe he is the biggest steal of the draft. This just proves before the season Magic Johnson and Luke Walton know what they are doing. The rights to the 27th overall pick, which is where Kuzma was drafted, was sent to Los Angeles in the D’Angelo Russell deal.

He is a versatile athlete that can play the three and four. Naturally he is a four, however, his versatility allows him to play and guard the three. Kuzma is more efficient offensively at the four and defensively at three.
All that being said the Lakers don’t need to search for a reserve small forward. Instead, they can play Kuzma behind Brandon Ingram and Larry Nance Jr. behind Julius Randle at the four.
Kyle is a defensively aggressive first player and his offense compliments that. During his last season at Utah he missed most of the season and according to NBA.com, he played hurt in the games he did play in. He has had a lingering ankle injury that he continually overcomes.
Despite his obstacles, Kuzma has fought through adversity; earning his way into the NBA. One of his admiring traits is that he’s always looking to learn.

Kuzma is a great athlete to root for. While his name may not be a household one yet, Kuzma has already shown NBA fans what he can do. Now, it is just a matter of time before that hard work turns into serious recognition.
