LA Rams: Week one match up preview at the Coliseum
The Winner Is
Unpredictability is what makes the NFL games fun to watch for fans and critics. As of all last year the Rams were expected be decent, yet they they were only okay. Defense was better than offense. Now this year many critics and fans don’t know what to expect, since changes have been made with the organization.
Of course their most notable change is their new head coach who is young. This helps as he can relate to the players. Additionally, he has playoff experience and brought in coaches with playoff experience. He was even able to bring Wade Phillips who knows how win a Super Bowl. The Rams aspiration is to win the Super Bowl.
Everyone is capable of that but realistically only time will tell. The Rams defense has improved with Phillips attracting skilled experienced players to LA. Even the offense has improved. Expect Jared Goff to look like the quarterback he was in college, now that he has multiple weapons around him.
Additionally, they even brought in a playoff experienced offensive linemen to protect Goff’s blindside. Their run game was their consistent area that needed improvement. Todd Gurley and the team are ready to quiet the critics.
The Colts will not have Andrew Luck for this game and the Rams will possibly not have Aaron Donald for this game. LA should still be able to disrupt the Colts offensive rhythm with their defense.
For the Rams on offense it will be a foreshadow for the remainder of the season. Their offense has a chance to prove to everyone in the first game just how good they really are. Once again their special teams unit is the question mark, however expect to see some trickery. LA will win the battle on defense and special teams leading them to victory at home.
