Lakers Season Opener: Five things that will happen vs Clippers

Closing Thoughts
Whether we want to admit it or not, Lonzo Ball is playing for more than just the Lakers. We would all love to see the decision to draft him benefit the team in major ways, but that’ll all come with time.
For the duration of his rookie season, the loudest voice in the room will not be anyone new. Instead, it’ll be the exact same person that Lonzo has had encouraging him throughout his whole life and basketball career.
Forget all of the bizarre things that LaVar Ball has said at times since his son became part of the spotlight and started garnering attention. At the end of the day, you have a 19-year old kid straight out of a year with the UCLA Bruins that in the end wants to represent his family as much as his city and his team.
We have to keep in mind that how Lonzo performs at the highest level will affect how the next two Ball brothers handle business. Nobody will be watching Lonzo closer than LaVar, but in the same time nobody will be wanting Lonzo to succeed more than LaVar.
