Everyone should be content with where the Los Angeles Dodgers are at currently.

In the MLB news spectrum all the talk has been negative about the Los Angeles Dodgers because of their losing streak. However, there has been positive news about them as well.

This positive news came about during their loss last night against the Colorado Rockies. All fans will be surprised to head who the good news is about. Its good news and an accomplishment for this individual as well.

Yu Darvish is the player whom the good news is about around the Dodgers. Darvish has become the fastest pitcher to reach 1,000 strikeouts.

Yu Darvish is the pitcher they acquired before the trade deadline from the Texas Rangers. They acquired him just in time for the playoffs. There are multiple variables to why they traded for him.

First, they wanted another young player on the team. Second, they wanted another prominent pitcher who’s ceiling is high. They figured with the pitchers they have in their bullpen adding Darvish to the lineup would help their bullpen and compliment Kershaw. It has been rough so far with their newly acquired pitcher, however this accomplishment shows glimpses of the light he provides.

Yu Darvish has been struggling lately. In his first two games the Dodgers were able to come out victorious. In the last three starts for Darvish they have lost. It isn’t like they are being blown away. Last nights’ loss was one of his better performances. His teammates also struggled to support him by missing ground balls, and deep balls in the outfield.

The difference in his first two starters compared to his last three is that his teammates made simple plays. Los Angeles was in the game the whole way and only lost by one. Yu Darvish is finally to settle in and play as himself building up his confidence.
