Los Angeles Dodgers: Five bold predictions for 2018
By Jason Reed
5. The Los Angeles Dodgers will finally be World Series Champions
The Los Angeles Dodgers came up as short as you can be in 2017. Los Angeles was 27 solid outs away from being World Series Champions. After a long season full of magic, the Dodgers were unable to pull the rabbit out of their hat one more time in game seven.
2018 will be different. 2018 will be the year that the Dodgers finally piece it all together. Clayton Kershaw deserves it, Justin Turner deserves it, Corey Seager, Cody Bellinger and Yasiel Puig deserve it. These guys are so talented, they gel together so perfectly, it is only fitting that they win a World Series together.
And that is exactly what they are going to do in 2018.

The Dodgers are still one of the most talented, if not the most talented, teams in the MLB. While they are losing some pieces, their depth is still insane and the pitching staff still looks great. LA arguably should have won the World Series last year; you can make the case that if they played the series ten times they would win seven of them.
Although they did not win, Los Angeles hypothetically could head into 2018 with the exact same team and win it all. Now they have the experience, they know what it is like to come up one game short.
With some new pieces, some old faces returning and the emergence of role players, the Dodgers will look much better in 2018.
Every year they come up short they advance one step further. From the NLDS to the NLCS to the World Series the Dodgers have put together quite the journey to World Series gold. It’s been tough, but it will all be worth it when that end goal is finally reached.

That end goal will be reached in 2018. If it’s not, these group of guys may never be able to win it together.
