6/18- 6/20 vs. the Chicago Cubs @ Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field used to provoke some bitter memories for Dodger fans. In 2016, it was the place where the Cubs won the pennant for the first time since 1945, in Game Six.

More from LA Sports Hub

Flashforward one year, and the memory of Wrigley is rewritten, as Kiké Hernandez hit 3 home runs in Game Five to help the Dodgers reach their first World Series in nearly 30 years. Wrigley Field is no longer a place of defeat for LA, but a place of victory.

On June 18th, the Dodgers will return to the friendly confines for the first time since they made history there last fall.

That in mind, nobody has forgotten 2016. The Chicago Cubs are still a powerhouse and they still have the potential to win big games.

The ideas and strategies that lead the Cubs to a championship still matter. The only difference is that, now, the Dodgers have championship strategies of their own.

This will be the most important series of the first half because the Cubs and the Dodgers are the two strongest teams in the National League going into 2018. In 2017, the Dodgers faced the Cubs 11 times and won 8 of those games. This season may be a similar story.  Just like the first series against the Nationals, these three games could be a preview of the playoffs.

When it comes to teams like the Dodgers and the Cubs, potential playoffs runs are pretty tough to ignore.

I, for one, enjoy that sense of possibility.
