Lakers Trade Rumors: No way they trade for LeBron James
By Keith Rivas
There’s no way on planet Earth that these Lakers trade rumors come true.
Recently, Chris Broussard was talking with Colin Cowherd about trades that could happen, and course the topics of LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers came up — Lakers trade rumors have been hard to ignore, so you can’t blame them there.
But then things started to get a little out there.
Apparently, James would consider not coming to LA because of LaVar Ball and the continual commentary that happens regarding the way the organization is run or how the players perform. So as a result, the solution presented was a trade between the Cavs and Lakers that involved James coming to Los Angeles and Ball heading to Cleveland.
That won’t happen.

Lonzo Ball means way too much to Magic Johnson to even think about making this deal a possibility. And, when you think about how the rest of the young core has stood the test of time so far, why would the Lakers even want LeBron James that badly to begin with?
Truly pursuing the superstar is going to be something that they’re going to have to prove over the summertime just like everyone else.
Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of Lonzo Ball and I am uncertain of how his father will affect his play moving forward as well as his overall career, but even I think that the idea of sending him to Ohio is outlandish.
You didn’t make all of the moves you made last summer just to undo them so soon — especially at the halfway point of the season.
LeBron James will stay with Cleveland for at least the rest of this season, while moving forward remains a big unknown. If LA is going to move Lonzo Ball, it won’t be for at least the next two years or so unless he really starts to get alienated by his teammates.

But until that happens, all bets are off on this even going down in the slightest.
