Clippers trade rumors: What is next for DeAndre Jordan?
By Jason Reed
Trade to the Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards have been proposed as a good fit for DeAndre Jordan by multiple different outlets. However, no real connection between the two sides has been reported yet, thus making the Washington Wizards a dark horse.
Much like the Trail Blazers, the Wizards may be one piece away from being legitimate contenders. John Wall is part of the small, elite class of point guards that is championship-team worthy. Bradley Beal has proven to be a lot better than his critics suggest to give Washington one of the best 1-2 punches in basketball.

However, while the rest of the team is solid, improvement can be made. Otto Porter Jr. is good but is far overpaid. Marcin Gortat is good but lacks that it factor to make Washington a respectable big three.
With John Wall out yet again, this time up to two months for a knee procedure, the Wizards need something to keep them afloat, make the postseason and make a run with Wall. That move is for Jordan. Not only does he create a great threesome to compete with the Cavs and Celtics, he can help Bradley Beal carry Washington to the playoffs.
And remember, while the Wizards and Clippers have not been reported on having any serious discussions, trading Blake Griffin to the Pistons was never mentioned and took the NBA by storm.
A package of Gortat, Kelly Oubre Jr. and the typical salary balancing contracts makes sense for both sides. Throw in a round one pick for Los Angeles and it should be a done deal.
Next: The perfect rebuild scenario for LA
Chances are, with all of the Clippers trade rumors DeAndre Jordan is most likely on his way out of Los Angeles. It was a fun ride. Jordan’s departure will signal the end of a successful run for Clippers basketball. Now, it is back to the bottom of the league and to the drawing board.
