In game two of a five-game road trip, the Anaheim Ducks look to continue their winning ways tonight in Ottawa.

The Anaheim Ducks travel to Ottawa to square off against the Senators fresh off of a victory over the red-hot Boston Bruins.

Streak Busters

“To be the man, you’ve got to bet the man.” – Ric Flair

Going into Tuesday night’s contest against the Ducks, Boston was the hottest team in the NHL. The Bruins had an 18-game point streak which met its end with a 3-1 Ducks win. Adam Henrique scored two goals, while Rickard Rakell, and Cam Fowler added two assists each to lead the victors.

Anaheim’s win wasn’t without its rough spot. Goalie John Gibson had saved all 25 shots he saw before he had to leave in the third period with another lower body injury. Ryan Miller played the last 7:25 to secure the victory. Coach Randy Carlyle knew making the switch would be unpopular with Gibson.

After the game, Carlyle told reporters,

"“I don’t think anybody really wants to come out of the game. I know that. Competitive people have those competitive juices going, that they want to stay in as long as possible. But, again, it’s a wise thing to do to make sure you’re 100 percent before you go back in. He felt he wasn’t that way, so we’ve got Ryan Miller. And Ryan Miller’s done the job.”"

News and Notes

* The Ducks finished January with a 7-3-1 record including winning five of their last six.

* Adam Henrique has points in six straight games (6 goals, 2 assists)

* Antoinne Vermette’s 60.4% faceoff win percentage is second in the NHL.

Anaheim continues its five-game road trip tonight at the Canadian Tire Center in Ottawa. Carlyle has decided to go with Ryan Miller as his starting goalie. Miller started the last time Anaheim faced the Sens, earning his 40th career shutout on December 6. Gibson is unavailable, so Reto Berra has been recalled from San Diego to be Miller’s backup. There weren’t any reported changes among the skaters at practice. We can expect the same group, which will be:
