The Isaiah Thomas trade is about to completely screw up everything good that could possibly come the way of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The fact that the Los Angeles Lakers went through with the Isaiah Thomas trade just to get rid of Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. should go to show that they have no problem messing their own strategy.

How easy is it to get in your own way at all costs? Well, the Lakers are showing you what they’re really about and how easy it really is. They would be so much better just keeping Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. in Los Angeles instead of bringing Thomas onboard.

He’s not going to be anything but an additional distraction, and I don’t care how many times you have to resort to using his time and play in Boston to try and justify this.

If you looked strictly at what he did to the Cavaliers despite being injured for the majority of the time he was with the Cavs, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that this deal is going to cause serious chemistry problems.

Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka haven’t even properly demonstrated that they can handle LaVar Ball alone, do you really think allowing someone who runs their mouth like Ball does but is an actual player in the locker room, on the bench, and on the floor is a good thing?

There is no way you can slice this deal to try and say that the Lakers won. If anything, the real winner here is Jordan Clarkson. Not only does he got to a team with championship experience, but he’ll get some teammates that will seriously appreciate his maturity and what he brings to the table.

Thomas failed to be productive or really a threat of any kind on either side of the ball in Cleveland. Now, LeBron James gets some serious help in Clarkson as well as Nance Jr.

All this trade is going to do is cause chaos for the rest of the regular season, and getting IT in return for cap space by dealing Clarkson and Nance Jr. just isn’t worth it.

It’s going to way worse now before things even think about getting better in Los Angeles. And that’s sad, because this was all avoidable.
