Yes, the Los Angeles Chargers should make a deal for the Super Bowl MVP, but only after the NFL Draft.

There will be a lot of interest moving forward from teams across the NFL with regard to how Philadelphia feels about the future of the guy that just won them their first Super Bowl in franchise history. Foles has already gone away from the Eagles once in his career, and his path back to them and a title over Tom Brady is a road we won’t soon forget.

But are the Eagles willing to keep him around if they’ve got Carson Wentz coming back healthy? And how would a move like that affect chemistry, if at all?

Well, the interesting thing with the Eagles is that it wouldn’t necessarily be a chemistry issue as there doesn’t appear to be any tension between the top two quarterbacks in Philly. However, you have to wonder if this entire experience has gotten Foles back into the mindset that he deserves to be the starter.

As would be the case with pretty much anyone, going from Super Bowl MVP and winning the Lombardi Trophy to QB2 on the depth chart again would be a hard pill to swallow, but there are options out there for a trade.

More from LA Sports Hub

The Los Angeles Chargers will pick 17th overall in the 2018 NFL Draft, with quarterback being one of their top needs as they need to start thinking beyond Philip Rivers sooner rather than later. Depending on who is still available at that point in the draft, Los Angeles might still have a shot at someone like top prospect Josh Allen or even Josh Rosen.

Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are as good as gone by then, but the other two are an open possibility, among other attractive prospects that teams are going to want.

Foles only has one year left on his contract, and he’s going to want to make that count as he’ll be a free agent at the age of 30 at might still have something left to give beyond that for at least a few seasons.

If Los Angeles is able to draft a quality QB, they should immediately offer that player for Nick Foles. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but think about this also — the Eagles want Carson Wentz to be their number one guy, not Nick Foles.

Even with a Super Bowl under his belt, Philadelphia drafted Wentz to be their future, and in doing so, banked on stuff like the ending to this season not happening unless he was under center. By acquiring a rookie quarterback prospect from the Chargers, the Eagles give themselves youth in case of another Wentz injury in the future.

Meanwhile, the exodus of Rivers becomes even more apparent and clear, as has been the case already when Alex Smith was sent from Kansas City to Washington despite putting up solid numbers and having veteran experience.

I think that this is a trade that both teams would say yes to, pending the prospect involved. Los Angeles would be in good hands with Nick Foles for the foreseeable future after that.
