The LA Rams have been in pursuit of a stellar off-season. Along with re-signing Aaron Donald, the icing on the cake could be Odell Beckham Jr.

Yesterday, we discussed how the LA Rams could acquire Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, Dez Bryant. That was met with a mostly negative response. Although Bryant was statistically better than every single LA Rams receiver last season, his off the field antics do not sit well with the fan base. Now, we shift that discussion to a much younger, much better, Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham, much like his NFC East counterpart, does not have the greatest relationship with his team. Reports indicate that the Giants are not ruling out trading Beckham, who is entering the last season of his rookie contract.

That is not all, as Giants’ co-owner John Mara described himself as tired of dealing with the Odell Beckham situation; making it clear that Beckham understands what the New York Giants want from him.

Unless the Giants can piece together multiple big acquisitions, it is hard to see the team making the postseason. Heck, New York is already clearing some space by getting rid of Jason Pierre Paul for a better draft spot in the fourth-round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

While it would take a good amount to get Beckham, it would not be surprising to see the Giants pull the trigger and part ways. With Beckham’s track record and massive pay day that is coming, it could be better suited for the Giants’ future to get something out of Beckham.

Thus, the LA Rams would have to pay a pretty penny for Beckham, without a doubt. Although he is only under team control for one season, Beckham is a perennial superstar receiver. Sammy Watkins, who is not on Odell Beckham’s level, required a second-round pick and cornerback E.J. Gaines.

Here is what I think a trade package for Odell Beckham would look like between the LA Rams and New York Giants.

And quite frankly, this deal would not be too bad for either side.

Brockers is a great NFL defensive lineman that has done wonders for the LA Rams. An above average player, Brockers would more than fill the gap left behind by Pierre-Paul.

However, with the LA Rams’ number one priority being re-signing Aaron Donald alongside potentially adding Ndamukong Suh, Brockers is on the outside looking in. Sure, he could be a part of something special, but the Rams would be able to afford parting ways.

Add in some draft picks to intrigue the Giants and this deal is doable. New York gets a decent pick this year, a fourth-rounder, as well as a great and decent pick in 2019. With five sixth-round picks, the Rams can afford to deal their fourth-round pick and potentially trade up in the draft.

Beckham would then join Sean McVay’s great pass offense and be the final true superstar to turn the LA Rams into Super Bowl favorites. While there are concerns about his health and his off-field antics, there is no denying that Beckham is a superstar.

Beckham would be far better than Sammy Watkins was last season and would only help Goff progress into the elite NFL quarterback he is destined to be. In return, the Giants get something out of one season of Beckham and get rid of a potential headache.

It is an interesting situation to monitor if you are a LA Rams fan. While it may be unlikely to ever happen, I would not put it past the Rams.
