So, what’s the verdict?

Both Rob Gronkowski and Odell Beckham Jr are polarizing options that would cement the LA Rams’ offseason as one of the best in NFL history. In simple terms, both would be the perfect icing on the cake to the complete revamp led by Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay.

Both have their pros and their cons. Gronkowski would be the cheaper option that would allow the Rams to remain flexible in adding solid youth to the roster. However, Beckham has the long-term upside as he will still be an elite receiver for at least six more seasons.

However, that is if the LA Rams even agree to a contract extension with Beckham. Los Angeles still needs to extend Aaron Donald, so that may become unlikely.

Thus, I give the edge to Rob Gronkowski. Even if Gronkowski plays for another season or two, he adds experience to a roster with very little. He would be a reliable and dominant option in Jared Goff’s passing game that would thrive even more alongside an elite running game with Todd Gurley.

Plus, the LA Rams would be able to add to the biggest hole of the defense at linebacker.

Although a second-round pick is not as good as a first, it is still good enough to add a starting caliber middle linebacker.

With Beckham, the Rams would be going all-in on this season; something that has not always led to success in the NFL.
