Weeks 14-17:

  • Week 14: at Chicago Bears

I think the Chicago Bears are going to surprise a lot of people next season. While I think there is still some time until they are a playoff team, they may still be in the conversation when week 14 arrives. With a new receiving core, a great running game, a good defense and a new head coach, the sky is the limit for the Bears.

The Rams are going to be coming to Chicago in Chicago, something that will not fare well for a team used to the nice Southern California weather. The Bears will push the Rams as far as they possibly can, with Jared Goff leading the team to a last-second field goal to win.

Score prediction: 23-20, Rams (10-3).

More from LA Sports Hub

  • Week 15: vs. Philadelphia Eagles

The week 15 matchup between the Eagles and Rams very well could be the deciding game for home field advantage in the NFC side of the playoffs. Carson Wentz and company are in line for another great season and may only have one or two losses at this point in the year.

Last year’s Rams pushed the Eagles as far as they could go. And while Carson Wentz will enter this game wanting revenge over the team that made him miss the Super Bowl, this improved Rams team will come up huge with a statement victory.

Score prediction: 24-21, Rams (11-3).

  • Week 16: vs. Arizona Cardinals

Assuming that both the Rams and Eagles have three losses at this point, the Rams are going to finish the season strong to ultimately clinch home field advantage in the playoffs.

Thus, the Cardinals will be in the wrong place at the wrong time, who actually might benefit more from a loss for their draft position. Expect the Rams to handle this game easily, sitting out their starters in the fourth quarter after a dominant three-quarter performance.

Score prediction: 38-14, Rams (12-3).

  • Week 17: vs. San Francisco 49ers

Last season, the LA Rams fell victim to the San Francisco 49ers in week 17 after sitting all of their starters with no playoff implications at stake. This year, both the Rams and 49ers will likely be fighting for playoff implications; LA looking for home field advantage and the 49ers looking for a Wild Card spot.

If the Rams already clinched home field advantage or clinched a first-round bye with no shot at home field advantage, I expect the 49ers’ intensity to lead them to a win.

Next: Mid-round playmakers the Rams should consider

However, assuming that they are in a spot to clinch something, the Rams will bring everything to the table. With the rest of the score predictions in mind, I think they do bring that intensity.

Score prediction: 31-30, Rams (13-3).
