Brett Toth, OT, Army

As the LA Rams continue to build a legitimate contender around the promising young core, the need for a deep offensive line continues to grow. While the Rams offensive line is just fine as is, the team should not stop at just fine and continue to add pieces along the way that can grow into big contributors.

Brett Toth is a sixth-round option that has a ton of upside and could be contributing on the offensive line as early as this season. Toth was good at both run and pass-blocking last season, however, his bread and butter is in the passing game.

With a young franchise quarterback like Jared Goff, drafting promising pass blockers that can develop should be a huge priority. Todd Gurley already has a great line to run behind and could still do wonders around a decent run blocker on the outside. What the Rams need is protection for Goff.

Toth does need some ironing out which ultimately is hurting his draft stock. He may not be NFL ready yet and that is why he will fall to the later rounds. However, that is a perfect reason to select Toth; the Rams can build him up to whatever he needs to be without throwing him directly into the fire.

Right away, this selection would not have a huge impact but down the line, Toth can turn into something special. He has the size and the foundation for success down, all he needs is some coaching.
