4. Brandin Cooks, WR

While the ball was set in motion to trade for Brandin Cooks ultimately by franchise tagging LaMarcus Joyner, Cooks also has a lot to prove on his new team in Los Angeles.

The Rams had to pay a pretty penny for Cooks, who has caught for at least 1000 yards over the last three seasons. That first-round pick could have been used for middle linebacker help or even a receiver that the Rams could have locked down for long-term.

Understandably, the Los Angeles Rams are looking to extend Cooks and keep him as long as possible. This makes sense, Cooks is still very young and is very talented and could become a signature receiver on the tail end of Jared Goff bombs. Goff and Cooks have the potential to one of the NFL’s best partnerships for years to come.

Cooks is going to have to deliver in Los Angeles for the Rams to make the final commitment to him long-term. There are question marks around if he can transition; considering that he was catching passes from Drew Brees and Tom Brady. There are no guarantees if he can translate without a Hall of Fame quarterback.

Cooks should be just fine. He is obviously talented, and while the quarterbacks did play a factor, they were not the ones that were getting open downfield.
