2. Chris Taylor

Weekly stats: .333 AVG, 5 R, 2 RBI

More from LA Sports Hub

Chris Taylor sneakily had a pretty decent week for the Los Angeles Dodgers that completely flew under the radar. It flew so far under the radar that when I was looking who to add to this list I did not even think to consider Taylor. However, once I stumbled across his weekly numbers, it became evident that he belonged.

While Chris Taylor still does not look like he did last season at the plate, he is making a noticeable increase from the low .200 batting line he has held over his head all season. Taylor, even after being moved down in the lineup, is scoring runs for the Dodgers; exactly what a leadoff man should do.

It has not been pretty, but Taylor is scoring runs at the end of the day. He ranks 13th in MLB outfielders in total runs scored. Not amazing, but definitely good enough to warrant the leadoff spot.

Hopefully, Taylor too can ride this hot week into a summer that mimics the one he had in 2017. Most of the Dodgers success last season was the contributions of these breakout stars. When these breakout stars don’t produce, the Dodgers have been losing. It is time for Taylor to get hot.
