2. Kenny Wiggins

Earlier in the article, we stated that the Los Angeles Chargers may have one of the best offensive lines that Philip Rivers has ever played behind. And while that is definitely true, it is still dependent on one thing: health. The Chargers’ offensive line is notorious for getting injured as the year goes along.

It does not help that the current group of guys has a history of injuries, either.

More from LA Sports Hub

Right guard Kenny Wiggins was one of the few consistent offensive linemen that the Chargers have had the last several seasons. Wiggins proved to be an above-average guard, but most importantly, played all 16 games for the Chargers last year. Center Spencer Pulley was the only other lineman to play all 16 games.

Replacing Wiggins in the offensive line is Mike Pouncey and 2017 second-round pick Forrest Lamp. Pouncey, although he is Pro Bowl-caliber, missed 11 games in 2016 and never got back into his Pro Bowl groove in 2017.

Lamp missed his entire rookie season last year. He was one of the best value picks in the entire draft as well. So while he is talented, who knows what to expect out of Lamp?

Thus, if the Chargers’ offensive line is struck with another case of injuries then most fans will be looking at what Wiggins is doing in Detroit. However, if by somehow the line can stay intact, for the most part, all season, the Chargers will be just fine.

Let’s hope it is the latter.
