3. Josh Reynolds, WR

Shifting back to the offensive side of the ball, the Los Angeles Rams are going to have another second-year pass threat improve next season. No, we are not talking about Cooper Kupp, who already had a good rookie year. Instead, we are talking about the often forgotten about, late-round pick, Josh Reynolds.

More from LA Sports Hub

Reynolds got lost in the mix last season with Cupp having such a good rookie year, Sammy Watkins playing pretty good and Robert Woods being the team’s best receiver. With Todd Gurley also being an option in the passing game, Reynolds did not get as many opportunities in year one as he should have.

Reynolds was brought in to be a big-bodied vertical threat and option inside of the red zone. He sort of served as a poor man’s version of Mike Evans that could use his size, length and athleticism to tower over smaller corners in good matchups.

In year two, I think we are going to see head coach Sean McVay utilize Reynolds more in these situations and his production will improve. He will likely be used mostly in long third-down chances, red zone downs and deep passing plays.

With a gunslinging quarterback in Jared Goff, Reynolds, on paper, fits perfectly with the Los Angeles Rams. That natural pairing is bound to lead to better results.

Plus, if the Rams are winning a lot of games by a good margin, there is going to be plenty of “garbage time” where Reynolds is serving as the number one receiver. That alone is going to create a natural improvement in his numbers.
