2. Ian Kinsler

Ian Kinsler was one of the pieces the Los Angeles Angels brought in this past offseason in attempts to improve the team’s offense around Mike Trout, Justin Upton, Andrelton Simmons and Albert Pujols.

Kinsler and fellow infielder Zack Cozart were huge pickups for the Angels in the offseason. While Kinsler’s prime had passed, he could still be a decent contributor while Cozart was coming off the best year of his career at 31 years old.

Neither Cozart or Kinsler have excelled this season. Kinsler has been the better of the two, and since he is on an expiring deal, it may be time for the Angels to explore a trade.

The Angels are not going to get an absurd return out of Kinsler but the team could get some decent enough prospects for a three-month rental that is not doing much for the team regardless.

One team jumps off the bat right away in the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers need a right-handed second baseman to play against southpaws as Logan Forsythe has been pretty bad at the plate this season.

The Dodgers could swap Forsythe and Kinsler as well as throw in some mid-level prospects, such as Rancho Cucamonga Quakes third baseman Cristian Santana.

Kinsler would give the Dodgers more depth and a better outlook at the plate while the Angels would get a power-hitting infielder with some upside in the farm.
