Why the Los Angeles Lakers will be the most entertaining team to watch

3. The Los Angeles Lakers are going to shatter expectations

We kind of alluded to this earlier when we stated that the Los Angeles Lakers were going to outperform everyone’s expectations. Not only are the Lakers going to be better as a result (obviously) it will also make Los Angeles the most entertaining team in the league.

The Lakers are not going to be the best team in the league. That is no secret. There are still powerhouses like the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics that are the far and away favorites for the title of best team in the league.

However, it is the Golden State Warriors that have put some of the NBA’s audience in a trance. While it is definitely entertaining to watch high-quality basketball, the entire dynamic of knowing who is going to win the NBA Championship before the season starts is something that leaves a bad taste in the average fan’s mouth.

When you get a new team that is killing expectations and is actually performing at a high-level basketball becomes that much more fun to watch.

That is why the 76ers were the team to watch in the second half of last season after the team got red-hot heading into the playoffs. Not only were the 76ers the most interesting team to watch, they forced themselves into being a potential favorite to win the East.

Obviously, that did not happen but the entire dynamic, story and over performance from the 76ers made the team one of the most fun to watch last season.

This season, that is going to be the Lakers as the unit overperforms with LeBron playing like a true MVP. Once that hits with the average NBA fan, Laker games are going to be can’t miss TV.
