Los Angeles Rams: Ranking the roster by position group
By Jason Reed
Number two and one:
2. Defensive line
The Los Angeles Rams’ defensive line is going to challenge to be the best in the NFL alongside the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Chargers. The defense line is carried by the two-headed monster of Ndamukong Suh and Aaron Donald but also presents talent elsewhere.

Suh and Donald could be the greatest pairing at defensive tackle that we have seen this century and is going to be a huge factor of the team’s success last season. If Donald continues to play like the Defensive Player of the Year, it is only going to make Suh better.
Michael Brockers, who is definitely above league average, is the third-best defensive lineman and will also turn plenty of heads this season.
1. Running back
It is hard to put any other position as the best on the Rams other than the running back position, obviously due to Todd Gurley.
Gurley really progressed into an elite running back last season and is challenging Le’Veon Bell for the title of best running back in the league. With over 2,000 yards from scrimmage last season, Gurley served as the heart of the team’s offense and will continue to play that role into next season.
Oh, and it helps that his likely backup, John Kelly, has been tearing it up in the preseason and looks to be a great sixth-round pick for the Rams. It does not get much better than the Rams’ running back core and is easily the best position group on the Rams.
