4. LeBron James on how he will fit on the Lakers
-
“I believe my game can fit with anybody. I’m a team-first guy (…) I love getting up and down and running.”
One of the biggest questions around LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers is how LeBron is going to play with a group of young players and some role players that do not fit the typical LeBron James teammate checklist.

While James has been the leader of every single team that he has been a part of, never has he been given a group of young guys that are still on their rise in the NBA and still be expected to be the typical LeBron James we all know and love.
While we got a little taste of that last season after the trades the Cleveland Cavaliers made, that was really the first time that LeBron had been the veteran to a young group of guys. Now, he is the veteran of a group of guys that are mostly in their young 20s.
However, he is still the best player in the world and is still going to go out on a nightly basis and do the things that he has been doing the last 15 years. It does not matter who you put around him, LeBron will find the most efficient way to play the game of basketball.
LeBron did recognize how quick the Lakers played last season, mostly due to Lonzo Ball. This is perfect for James, who is arguably the best player in transition and will thrive having teammates run the court with him.
Especially last season, James did not have much athleticism to get up and down the court and keep up with a team like the Golden State Warriors. On the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron will be confident that his team can keep up the pace.
