Los Angeles Lakers: Winners and losers in loss to Spurs
By Jason Reed
Winner: DeMar DeRozan
Look, DeMar DeRozan‘s team got the win on Monday night and he actually put together a fairly good game, I guarantee the last thing that he cares about is that I consider him a winner on my winners and losers post.

It is more than the big game and the win that makes DeRozan a winner. In the same way that Lance Stephenson was a thorn at LeBron’s side, LeBron has become a serious thorn in DeRozan’s side.
This has stemmed from the Eastern Conference Finals were LeBron and DeRozan often met as members as of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors. James consistently and repeatedly would have big games against the Raptors to win the series and essentially suck the life out of DeRozan.
I mean, it kind of happened again tonight. LeBron hits that big shot to tie the game late in the fourth quarter but gave DeRozan enough time to get some sort of a decent shot off. DeRozan missed, the teams went into overtime and he still was not the one to get the last shot.
At the end of the day, DeRozan made 11 of 29 for 32 points, eight rebounds and 14 assists. That is a pretty dang good game and he outbattled LeBron to get a hard-fought victory.
However, regardless of how good of a game he had and how LeBron choked in the big post, DeRozan still seemingly had the LeBron curse.
