Biggest Move: Dodgers trade for Machado

With the loss of all-star shortstop Corey Seager, the Dodgers found themselves in need at the position all season. The front office put all their chips in by trading five prospects for the Baltimore Orioles all-star Manny Machado.

Machado played terrifically at shortstop disproving that he lacked defensive skills and he also brought a big bat. Machado homered in his third game as a Dodger and hit 15 in 63 games with the team.

Despite his dismal World Series (.182 4 singles), Machado did perform in the playoffs hitting a key home run in Game 4 of the NLDS and scoring the winning run in the 13 inning Game 4 of the NLCS. Though not as good as his time with the Orioles, Machado was still a key component to the Dodgers second pennant in a row.
