2. The New Orleans Saints have one of the toughest remaining schedules in the league

The New Orleans Saints are undoubtedly going to be the favorite heading into every single one of the team’s games. The Saints have been exceptional in recent weeks and have put on a pounding against playoff contending teams such as the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles.

However, the Saints have games that are tougher than both of those teams in the remaining five. In fact, I would say that only one of the Saints’ remaining games is a game that is a near-lock, like the Rams’ final two.

The remaining five are:

  • at Dallas Cowboys
  • at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • at Carolina Panthers
  • vs. New Orleans Saints
  • vs. Carolina Panthers

The only near-lock of those five is against the Buccaneers and you could even make the case that it is not a near-lock being a division game on the road against a team that already defeated them. However, the Saints will come back with a vengeance and should win.

You could also make the case that the Saints should put a pounding on the Cowboys, however, Dallas is a playoff team that has looked good the last two weeks.

If Dallas can control the game with their playmakers in Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper, there is no reason they cannot grind out a win.

Those last three games are extremely talented, though. The Panthers and Saints have a rivaled history and you cannot count either team out when they play. The Panthers will be playing for a Wild Card spot in the last three weeks and are going to throw everything at the Saints.

Common sense tells us that the Panthers should be able to win at least one of the two.

Hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers is no cakewalk, either. This is a team that can go toe-to-toe with the Saints offensively and will be even better playing inside a dome. Pittsburgh will likely be fighting for a first-round bye at this time, making this game a must-win for the team.

The chances of the Saints losing one of their last five is significantly higher than the chances of the Rams losing one of their last five.
