There is no star bigger than Bryce Harper on the market this offseason and the Los Angeles Dodgers could be making the push to bring Harper to LA.

Bryce Harper is going to sign a record-setting contract this offseason. The 26-year-old outfielder has already done things that players spend their entire careers trying to do and arguably has not even hit his peak yet. If he is truly one of the greats, Harper is going to be in his prime until his age 33 or 34 season.

With that in mind, it makes sense for any team to get him to a deal longer than 10 seasons. While towards the end of his contract he will eventually flare out, Harper is going to be at an elite level for over half of the contract.

That, mixed with other reasons, is why the Los Angeles Dodgers should not hesitate to sign Harper to a massive contract this winter. Of course, it takes Harper’s interest as well, but why wouldn’t he be interested?

Coming to LA lets him be the face of a massive market and puts him on a team that is going to be in the title picture for years to come. The Dodgers are already on the third-longest postseason streak in MLB history and show no signs of slowing down with a young core that is only getting better.

Harper could be the final piece to get over that hump and win a World Series. Heck, with Harper, I think that multiple World Series wins cannot be ruled out.

The current roster is going to take some tweaking to make Harper’s transition to LA seamless. Here are three deals the Dodgers should look to make to set up for Bryce Harper’s potential arrival.
