Los Angeles Dodgers: Five biggest things on the Dodgers’ Christmas list
By Jason Reed
5. A World Series Trophy in 2019
The Los Angeles Dodgers have watched two separate teams celebrate winning the World Series in Dodger Stadium the last two years. First, it was the Houston Astros, in a year that was the Dodgers year and the year that stung the most. Then, it was the Boston Red Sox, who overpowered the Dodgers and took advantage of some poor decision making.

You could argue all day about which loss is worst but in my personal opinion, it has to be the 2017 loss. That loss was the year to win it all. Everything went the Dodgers way, they had a magical regular season and walked their way through the NLDS and NLCS.
Then the team forgot how to play at a high-level, played as bad as they could have played and still took the World Series to seven games. You could probably pick out ten moments from the World Series, just change one moment and the Dodgers would have been World Series Champions.
I am young, I was not alive for the Dodgers last World Series win. Some would argue that it benefits me, as I did not have to go through all of the 30-year drought. However, I also have not ever seen the Dodgers win, which is something at least my father and any older Dodger fan can remember.
I don’t care if the Los Angeles Dodgers place in last place for the next five years. All I want is one World Series win, that one joyous moment when you realize why you are even a sports fan to begin with.
Will it happens? Who knows. There is a lot of moves to be made and a lot of baseball yet to be played.
