3. John Brown, WR

It is pretty ironic that there is another Baltimore Raven on this list as that was not by design. Both John Brown and C.J. Mosley fit on the Los Angeles Chargers for their own reasons, neither of which being because they are a Raven. The silver lining of this is that the Ravens cannot franchise tag both so at least one will be available.

With all of the weapons that the Chargers have on offense, you would not think that they would be in the market for a receiver. Keenan Allen is still an elite receiver and Mike Williams really came into his own in his second year and showed that he will be in no time.

Hunter Henry will be back in action in the passing game as well. The two important receivers to keep in mind are Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin.

Williams was the Chargers number one deep threat and was on the end of quite a few long bombs from Philip Rivers. While he is not the team’s top receiver, he does play a big role in the offense.

Benjamin has a smaller role as the team’s fourth receiver but did come up big in certain spots; especially in the Thursday Night Football showdown with the Kansas City Chiefs in which he caught a huge fourth down pass.

Williams is a free agent this offseason and Benjamin the following year. It is time for the Chargers to start considering who the third receiver will be on the team for the future.

That is where Brown comes in and can sign a four-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers. Brown would be a perfect replacement for Williams as he has blistering speed and would be the perfect deep threat to throw into Rivers’ offense.

Next. This is only the beginning for the Chargers. dark

Brown had very similar numbers to Williams last season and if Williams is asking for a pretty penny, could be a more than suitable replacement to play out of the slot.
