The Los Angeles Lakers have seemingly gone all-in on acquiring Anthony Davis but need to establish some emergency Plan B trade options this summer.

The Los Angeles Lakers were unable to trade for Anthony Davis as the NBA Trade Deadline but all signs are still pointing at the team getting the superstar big man.

The New Orleans Pelicans recently fired general manager Dell Demps, who was asking for an outrageous return for the Lakers. The writing on the wall here is clear: the Pelicans front office is not happy that Demps was stubborn and passed on the Lakers’ best offer, which might be the best offer the Pelicans ever get for Davis.

The Lakers would ultimately offer the same package this summer to get Davis but there is still a chance that the team strikes out on the superstar. The Boston Celtics are another team that is interested in Davis and have the ammo to get it done.

That is if Kyrie Irving stays in Boston, after all.

Either way, the Los Angeles Lakers should not be putting all of their eggs in the Anthony Davis basket and should be prepared for a world in which the team does not get Davis.

We have already made our case on why we think the Los Angeles Lakers won’t be able to sign any of the other premier free agents this summer. Here are two emergency plan B trade options that the Lakers should keep in mind.
